The individual, identified as Mohd Amir, a resident of Mauaima near Delhupur road in Pratapgarh district, had been evading law enforcement for his alleged involvement in a cow slaughter incident.

The arrest was made following an intensive manhunt by the STF sleuths. Mohd Amir was wanted by the Pratapgarh police in connection with a case of cow slaughter that occurred earlier this year. He has been formally booked under section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and sections 3, 5, and 8 of the Uttar Pradesh Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, highlighting the serious nature of the charges against him.
