According to official reports from the government hospital police, the woman, identified as Dhivya from Marungapuri in Trichy district, was admitted to the labour ward on March 25.

Police authorities have revealed that Dhivya was five months pregnant and had undergone a medically advised termination procedure. She also had a documented history of epilepsy and was continuing her treatment at the hospital prior to her sudden disappearance. The incident occurred around 2:30 PM on Saturday when Dhivya reportedly left the ward and failed to return, raising immediate alarms among hospital staff.
