During the probe, police analyzed Priyanka's call detail records, which led them to suspect Govind Singh. He was detained for questioning and later confessed to the crime. During interrogation, the accused allegedly revealed that he first strangled Priyanka, tied stones to her body, and dumped it in Bhim ka Talab. He then killed Aryan and disposed of the child's body in the forests near Darra, approximately 20 kilometers from Bhim.

A joint team of local police and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) launched a search operation at Bhim ka Talab on Thursday morning.
