Property dealer shot dead in Azamgarh over trade dispute

A property dealer was shot dead, while his companion suffered severe injuries when some miscreants opened indiscriminate fire at them over a trade dispute in the Ranipur area under the Mubarakpur police station in Azamgarh late Wednesday.

Initial investigation revealed that Sushil Kumar (24), a property dealer at Kodhwa, was travelling in a car with Umashankar Yadav alias Pintu of Ranipur. The two had left for home in the same car after attending a religious feast in Ranipur. Before they could leave Ranipur limits, the miscreants ambushed them.

Despite suffering a bullet injury, Umashankar drove the car up to a safe distance and alerted the police by dialing 112. The cops reached the spot and rushed the duo to hospital where Sushil succumbed to his injuries.
