In a shocking incident of vandalism, Vishrantwadi police have apprehended a 19-year-old youth for allegedly setting fire to six two-wheelers parked in the parking area of a residential building on Dhanori Road. The arson attack occurred around 4 am on Friday, following a dispute with a resident of the society.

Police Investigation and Arrest Details

Senior Inspector Mangesh Hande of Vishrantwadi police station confirmed the arrest, stating that the accused, identified as Vishal Khalase of Dhanori, was taken into custody after a thorough examination of CCTV footage from the vicinity. The complainant, Rakesh Vishwakarma, aged 26, positively identified Khalase during the investigation. Police noted that Khalase is currently unemployed.

Sequence of Events and Damage Assessment

According to police reports, Khalase entered the premises of Priyansh Apartments and intentionally set Vishwakarma's motorcycle on fire. However, the flames rapidly spread across the parking area, engulfing five additional motorcycles in the blaze. The intense fire caused significant damage to electrical cables and meters, resulting in a power outage for the entire building on Friday.
