Pune Man Brutally Attacked After Truck Hits Scooter

The South Mahalunge MIDC police in Pune have registered a case against four men for brutally assaulting a private company employee following a road accident. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon at Mahalunge, when a truck belonging to the victim's company struck a woman's scooter.

Sequence of Events

The victim, a 36-year-old resident of Moshi, sustained severe injuries during the attack. According to a police officer from the South Mahalunge MIDC station, the truck driver contacted the complainant after the accident. The victim promptly arrived at the scene and arranged for the injured woman to be admitted to a nearby hospital. However, upon returning to the accident site, he was confronted by the woman's son and two other individuals.

Attack Details

The assailants began verbally abusing the victim and then escalated to physical violence. They pelted stones at him and beat him mercilessly. In an attempt to escape, the complainant ran into a nearby company premises, but the attackers chased him, forcibly dragged him out, and continued the assault. One of the accused struck him on the face with a stone, while another used a stick to thrash him.

The accused fled the scene immediately after the attack. The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the four individuals. Investigations are currently underway to apprehend the culprits.
