Pune Man Murdered Over Land Dispute, Nephew Arrested

A 45-year-old man named Ravindra Jadhav, a resident of Jadhavwadi near Navlakh Umbre village in Maval taluka, was discovered murdered near his house on Monday. The police have taken Jadhav's nephew into custody on charges of murder.

Details of the Incident

The Pimpri Chinchwad police stated that Jadhav's murder stemmed from a dispute over land with his relatives. An officer from the Pimpri Chinchwad police confirmed that Jadhav's nephew, along with three accomplices, was involved in the killing.

A case has been registered under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the accused at the Talegaon MIDC police station.

How the Murder Occurred

According to an officer from the Talegaon MIDC police, the murder took place in the early hours of Monday. The attackers assaulted Jadhav with sharp weapons and then crushed his head with a large stone. The officer added that they have arrested Jadhav's nephew, while a search is ongoing for the three other suspects involved in the crime.

Background of the Dispute

Jadhav and his relatives were locked in a dispute over one acre of land. Additionally, Jadhav and his nephew had recently argued over the sharing of Rs 5 lakh, which they had received for allowing a pipeline to be laid on their land.
