Eyewitnesses and passersby at the scene immediately sprang into action, alerting others and assisting in shifting the critically injured man to Sassoon General Hospital for emergency medical treatment. Sub-inspector Anil Nimbalkar of the Kalepadal police station confirmed the details of the case.
