Pune Police Crack Down on Illegal LPG Refilling Operation
In a significant enforcement action, the Kalepadal police in Pune successfully dismantled a large-scale illegal LPG refilling racket on Wednesday. The operation led to the arrest of a 38-year-old worker and the seizure of a substantial cache of 103 cylinders, along with a mini-truck used in the illicit activities.

Senior police inspector Mansinh Patil of the Kalepadal police station provided detailed insights into the raid. The police team conducted a targeted operation at a location in Handewadi, where they discovered an individual engaged in the unauthorized transfer of LPG from domestic cylinders to commercial and smaller cylinders within a shop premises.
"We also found some cylinders kept in the mini-truck. Totally, we found 103 cylinders in possession of the accused," Inspector Patil stated, emphasizing the scale of the illegal operation. The discovery highlights the extensive nature of the racket, which posed serious safety risks to the community.

According to police reports, the accused was allegedly planning to sell the refilled commercial and small cylinders at inflated prices, exploiting market demand for personal gain.
