Pune: Seven Relatives Booked for School Theft of Rs 12 Lakh

Pune: The Khadak police have registered a case of trespass and theft against seven individuals, all distant relatives of a family, for allegedly entering a school premises at Kasewadi in Bhawani Peth and stealing computers and other articles worth a total of Rs 12 lakh.

Complaint Filed

The complainant, a 31-year-old individual, lodged a complaint last week with the Khadak police station. In the complaint, it was claimed that the seven accused not only stole valuables from the school premises but also pushed an elderly trustee of the school, who later died due to a cardiac arrest. However, Senior Inspector Shashikant Chavan of Khadak police stated, "We are yet to verify the claim."

Adjacent Schools

The two schools involved are located adjacent to each other. One school is managed by the complainant's family, while the other is managed by the other trustees. The school trustees, who have been accused of trespass and theft, said on Friday, "Police must thoroughly investigate the case."
