The collision occurred around 7 pm on Tuesday in a busy area near Sardar Chowk on Spine Road. According to police reports, the autorickshaw driver made a sudden and illegal maneuver. Upon noticing a red signal at the chowk, the driver abruptly turned his vehicle and proceeded to drive on the wrong side of the road. This reckless action directly led to the auto rickshaw knocking down a scooter that was being ridden by a 27-year-old woman from Bhosari.
Injuries and Aftermath
The impact of the crash resulted in injuries to the woman, who required medical attention following the incident. Her scooter also sustained significant damage in the collision. Instead of stopping to assist the victim or report the accident, the autorickshaw driver chose to flee from the location, leaving the injured woman at the scene.
