A distressing incident of animal cruelty has been reported from Chandigarh, where a puppy was killed after being thrown into a burning tandoor. The police have registered a case against an unidentified man in connection with the incident.

According to the complaint, the incident took place in the Bhapu Dham Colony area. The complainant stated that while returning home at around 1:40 am on Friday, he witnessed an unidentified man carrying a puppy near the Sampark Centre. The man then allegedly threw the puppy into a burning tandoor, causing its death.
Legal Action Taken
Based on the complaint, the Chandigarh police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. The accused is currently at large, and investigations are underway to identify and apprehend him.
