In a decisive move to bolster urban safety, the Raipur police have introduced a comprehensive set of stringent regulations for hotels, bars, clubs, dhabas, and restaurants across the city. Enhanced Surveillance and Verification Protocols
The police have issued a clear directive for all establishments to install high-quality CCTV cameras. These cameras must provide coverage in both directions of the adjoining roads, ensuring comprehensive monitoring of the premises and surrounding areas. Additionally, a mandatory 30-day backup for all CCTV footage has been mandated to facilitate investigations and maintain records. In a further step to enhance security, management teams are now required to ensure police verification for all employees, adding an extra layer of scrutiny to staffing processes.
Strict Guest Entry and Identification Measures
To tighten guest entry norms, establishments must now verify customers' mobile numbers upon their arrival. Furthermore, detailed records must be maintained, including photographs of guests, their mode of arrival—whether by flight, train, or road—and vehicle numbers. In a specific measure to prevent anonymity, customers wearing masks are required to remove them for identification photographs, ensuring clear visual documentation for security purposes.
Enforced Closing Hours and Noise Control
In an effort to regulate nighttime activities, the police have fixed midnight (12 am) as the mandatory closing time for all establishments. No parties or gatherings are permitted beyond this limit, aiming to reduce late-night disturbances and potential incidents. Additionally, to control noise pollution and ensure neighborhood peace, the use of DJ systems must cease by 10 pm, well before the closing hour.
