Rajasthan Advocates to Convene for Major State-Level Conference in Jadan
The All Rajasthan Advocate Federation is set to organize a significant two-day state-level advocates' conference on March 14 and 15 in Jadan, located in Pali district. This event aims to bring together legal professionals from across Rajasthan to engage in comprehensive discussions on pressing issues affecting the legal community.
Focus on Challenges and Rights of Lawyers
PM Joshi, president of the Bar Association Pali, highlighted that the conference will concentrate on addressing the challenges faced by lawyers, safeguarding their rights, and implementing measures to promote the interests of advocates throughout the state. "The seminar will deliberate on several issues related to the welfare of lawyers, and resolutions are likely to be adopted after discussions," Joshi stated.
Key Agenda Items for Discussion
The conference agenda includes a range of critical topics designed to enhance the legal profession in Rajasthan:
- Electing a Bar Council member from every district to ensure better representation.
- Facilitating the elevation of district-level advocates as High Court judges to promote career advancement.
- Increasing the advocate welfare fund with greater transparency to support lawyers in need.
- Providing stipends to young advocates from the welfare fund to aid their professional development and initial practice phases.
Additional Proposals and Reforms
Participants will also deliberate on several other important issues, including:
- Improving the targeted case process to streamline judicial efficiency.
- Appointing practising advocates as social representatives in tribunals and Lok Adalats to enhance community involvement.
- Holding Bar Council meetings at district headquarters to increase accessibility and local engagement.
Further proposals likely to be discussed involve opening Bar Council branches in every district and implementing measures to strengthen accountability in judicial functioning, aiming to foster a more responsive and effective legal system.
