Constable Found Dead in Rajasthan, Family Alleges Sand Mafia Involvement

Jaipur: A 26-year-old police constable assigned to night patrolling duties in Tonk district was found dead with visible injuries on Sunday, prompting his family to allege that he was murdered by the sand mafia. The body of Constable Bhag Chand Saini, posted at the Banetha police station, was discovered by villagers in the morning. Police reported injury marks on the face, neck, and chest, while his motorcycle was found lying nearby.

Police reached the spot soon after and the body was dispatched to Saadat Hospital for a post-mortem. At the hospital, the deceased constable's family staged a protest demanding justice for nearly two hours. Senior police officers finally persuaded the family to allow the post-mortem after assuring them of compensation.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the constable left for patrol on his motorcycle around midnight Saturday. A police official stated, We are trying to examine footage from as many CCTVs as possible. We are also questioning multiple people to establish if anyone saw him on Saturday night. We have a few other suspects who are going to be questioned soon.
