Ahmedabad Brawl: Rajasthan Man Stabbed to Death, Police Hunt for Three Suspects
In a tragic incident in Ahmedabad, a 25-year-old man from Rajasthan was stabbed to death during a violent brawl on a city road. The police have launched a manhunt for three suspects involved in the assault, which occurred near the Vakil Saheb bridge in the Bopal area.
Victim Identified and Incident Details
The victim has been identified as Shiva Dinesh Kalasua, who worked as a house cleaner in Ahmedabad. According to police reports, the incident took place on the intervening night of February 10-11, around 10:30 PM. Shiva was declared dead by doctors at Saraswati Hospital, where he was taken after the assault. The body exhibited multiple stab wounds to the chest, back, and ear.
FIR and Witness Accounts
An FIR was registered at the Sarkhej police station based on a complaint filed by Shiva's cousin, Kishan Gattu Dhula Kalasua (25). Kishan stated in the FIR that he received a call from his brother in Kalol, Gandhinagar, informing him about Shiva's involvement in a brawl. Upon reaching the scene around 1 AM on February 11, bystanders directed him to the hospital, where he discovered Shiva had succumbed to his injuries.
Two of Shiva's friends, who were present at the time, provided crucial details to Kishan. They revealed that Shiva received a call from an individual named Narayan alias Rajkumar, who then arrived at the location with Sunil Khokariya and two other unidentified men. An argument ensued, escalating into a physical altercation. During the brawl, Sunil Khokariya allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Shiva, while the other two men held him down.
Aftermath and Police Action
Bleeding heavily, Shiva managed to break free, cross the road, and collapse on the far end. The three suspects fled the scene immediately after the attack. The police have booked the suspects under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for murder and voluntarily causing hurt. An intensive investigation is currently underway to apprehend the accused and determine the motive behind the fatal assault.
