Rajasthan Police SOG Arrests Two Accused in Senior Teacher Exam Paper Leak Case

The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police made a significant breakthrough on Tuesday by arresting two absconding accused in separate cases connected to the Senior Teacher recruitment exam paper leak. Officials confirmed the arrests, which mark a crucial step in the ongoing investigation into the 2022 examination scandal.

Identities of the Arrested Accused

Additional Director General of Police (SOG) Vishal Bansal identified the arrested individuals as Ashok Kumar Vishnoi, a 29-year-old resident of Dhorimanna in Barmer district, and Vijay Pal Singh, a 30-year-old resident of Sanchore in Jalore district. According to police, Singh allegedly acted as a dummy candidate in the compromised examination.

Bansal revealed that both accused had been evading arrest for nearly two years, frequently changing their locations and concealing their identities to avoid capture. Their prolonged absconding had complicated the investigation until the recent arrests.

Background of the Exam Paper Leak Case

The case revolves around the 2022 Senior Teacher (Secondary Education) Grade-II examination conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). The General Knowledge & Educational Psychology and Science papers, which were held on December 24, 2022, had to be cancelled following a paper leak. The examination was subsequently reconducted on January 29, 2023.

Investigations uncovered that Ashok Kumar Vishnoi allegedly orchestrated a scheme involving dummy candidates to appear in both papers on his behalf. Police stated that Hanumanaram Vishnoi, a senior teacher posted in a government school in Jalore, appeared in the General Knowledge & Educational Psychology paper for him. By utilizing these dummy candidates, Vishnoi managed to secure selection as a Senior Teacher (Science). Hanumanaram Vishnoi was previously arrested on February 17, 2026.

Rewards and Related Arrests

Authorities noted that Ashok Kumar Vishnoi had been absconding since the case came to light, prompting the announcement of a reward of ₹5,000 for information leading to his arrest. In a related development, officials mentioned another accused, Surat Ram Meena from Sawai Madhopur, who also employed a dummy candidate.

Mahipal Vishnoi, a fourth-year MBBS student at Government Medical College in Kota, appeared in the Science paper on behalf of Meena and was arrested earlier. Meanwhile, Vijay Pal Singh allegedly served as a dummy candidate in the General Knowledge & Educational Psychology paper. A reward of ₹10,000 had been announced for his arrest prior to his apprehension.

Ongoing Investigation

Police emphasized that further investigation in both cases is currently underway. The arrests highlight the persistent efforts of the SOG to address corruption and malpractice in recruitment examinations, ensuring accountability and integrity in the selection process for government positions.
