In a shocking development in Rajkot, two primary school teachers already facing serious criminal charges for rape and extortion have now been implicated in a second case with strikingly similar allegations. The accused, identified as Mukesh Solanki and Preeti Ghetia, now confront fresh complaints of criminal intimidation, assault, and outraging a woman's dignity.
Initial Case Details
The legal troubles for the duo began when a 33-year-old woman filed a complaint alleging horrific abuse. According to her statement, Solanki raped her multiple times at her residence and other locations. The situation escalated when the pair recorded nude photos and videos of the victim and used this material to blackmail her of Rs 4.46 lakh.
The victim further claimed that her marriage plans were destroyed when Solanki and Ghetia threatened to kill her brother if she proceeded with the wedding. This initial case led to Ghetia's arrest from her Rajkot residence two days ago, while Solanki remains at large with police actively searching for him.
Fresh Wedding Disruption Allegations
Now, a 62-year-old man has approached Shapar-Veraval police station with equally disturbing allegations against the same accused. According to the fresh FIR, the complainant's daughter was scheduled to get married on November 23, 2025, at a party plot in Lodhika when the accused arrived unexpectedly around 8pm.
The confrontation turned ugly as Solanki allegedly told the groom that he had been physically involved with the bride-to-be. The accused then threatened the woman directly, ordering her to leave the wedding venue and warning they would kill her if she married someone else. Before departing, they threatened the complainant that he wouldn't be spared if his daughter married anyone else.
Evidence and Police Investigation
CCTV footage from the party plot has confirmed the presence of both accused at the wedding venue, providing crucial evidence supporting the complainant's version of events. The confrontation had immediate consequences, with the groom and his family calling off the wedding immediately.
Police sources revealed that the families became acquainted in 2022 during a meditation camp where the complainant's daughter met Ghetia. The relationship developed with frequent visits between the two families before the shocking wedding day incident.
Multiple police teams from University police station and Shapar-Veraval police station are coordinating the investigation and continue their search for Solanki, who has managed to evade arrest so far.
