Ratlam Police Recover Bodies of Three Men in Separate Incidents
In a tragic development, Ratlam police on Saturday recovered the bodies of three men from two distinct locations in the region. The discoveries have sparked investigations into possible connections and foul play.
Two Bodies Found in Mathuri Pond
Around 1:30 PM, authorities located the bodies of two men floating in Mathuri Pond, situated under the Karmadi Gram Panchayat. Manak Chowk police station in-charge Patiram Dawre promptly arrived at the scene with divers to retrieve the remains.
The deceased were identified as Shankar (35), a resident of Bajrang Nagar, and Munna (30) from Dilip Nagar. According to Dawre, Munna's father reported that his son, a labourer, had been missing for three to four days. Notably, Munna had recently been released from prison after serving a 10-year sentence, just one month prior to this incident.
While the exact cause of death remains undetermined at this stage, local residents have suggested a potential link to a failed theft attempt on April 15. On that night, three men allegedly attempted to steal a motor near the pond; one individual was apprehended, while the other two managed to escape. Police are actively investigating whether this earlier event is connected to the recovery of the bodies.
Third Body Discovered in Dabar Village
In a separate incident on Saturday morning, the body of Teja Dodiyar (35) was found face down in the hilly terrain of Dabar village. His motorcycle was recovered nearby, but the condition of the body indicated a violent demise.
Bajna police station in-charge Manish Dabar and FSL officer Atul Mittal conducted an inspection of the scene. They observed significant injuries and substantial blood loss from the victim's head and ears. Based on the nature of these wounds, police have preliminarily classified this as a suspected murder case.
Ongoing Investigations and Postmortem Procedures
All three bodies have been transferred to Ratlam Medical College for comprehensive postmortem examinations to ascertain the precise causes of death. In parallel, police are diligently recording statements from family members of the victims. This effort aims to determine the last known sightings of the deceased and identify any individuals they were with prior to their deaths.
The investigations are ongoing, with authorities working to piece together the events leading to these tragic outcomes and explore any potential correlations between the incidents.
