Realtor Kidnapped in Tirupati Over Red Sanders Land Dispute

Vijayawada: A realtor has been kidnapped in Tirupati after a suspected dispute over a high-value land transaction linked to a red sanders venture, according to police. The incident occurred on the evening of May 30 near the Nandakam tea shop in Seethamma Nagar.

Details of the Kidnapping

The victim, identified as Rasool, a resident of Seethamma Nagar, was allegedly abducted by a group of individuals. His brother Pradeep, a retired assistant sub-inspector of police, filed a complaint with the SV University police. The complaint states that the kidnapping is suspected to be connected to financial transactions made as part of the purchase of a venture reportedly containing valuable red sanders trees. The property was allegedly acquired for several crores, and disputes over monetary dealings are believed to have triggered the abduction.

Accused Named in Complaint

In his complaint, Pradeep has accused four individuals from Kadapa district — Manohar Reddy, Khaja Peer, Subba Reddy, and Shivakumar — of being involved in the kidnapping. Based on the complaint, the SV University police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and initiated an investigation.
