In a shocking incident in New Delhi, a 32-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death, and another individual sustained critical injuries during a robbery attempt near a petrol pump in Sector 23, Rohini, on February 16. Investigators reported that a PCR call was received at the Begumpur police station around 6:56 PM, alerting them to a man lying unconscious with stab injuries on the ground near the petrol pump. A police team promptly reached the spot and transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. The deceased was identified as Amarnath Yadav, who worked at a jeans factory.

An eyewitness, Sri Ram Yadav, who also suffered knife injuries during the altercation, informed the police that the assailants robbed their mobile phones before fleeing the scene. Based on this information, a case was registered under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), marking a serious legal pursuit against the perpetrators.

During questioning, he disclosed the involvement of his associate, Durgesh (23), who was subsequently nabbed by the authorities. Both individuals are residents of Rohini and have a history of previous involvement in multiple cases of theft, snatching, and robbery, indicating a pattern of criminal behavior.

Police stated that the accused had planned to commit the robbery and resorted to stabbing Amarnath when he resisted their attempts. In a significant breakthrough, law enforcement recovered several key pieces of evidence, including:
