The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Metro Railway, Kolkata, in partnership with the National Commission for Women (NCW), organized a comprehensive capacity-building workshop on anti-human trafficking at Metro Rail Bhavan. Subhransu S. Mishra, General Manager of Metro Railway, attended as the guest of honour and stressed the critical need for ongoing, sustained efforts to combat human trafficking. He highlighted that such workshops are vital for bringing clarity and fortifying response mechanisms in daily operations focused on prevention.

Sudeep Jain, Member Secretary of NCW, served as the chief guest and underscored the profound social impact of human trafficking. He pointed out that this issue disrupts not only individuals but entire families, and emphasized that rescuing even a single victim represents a significant step toward restoring dignity and security.

Experts from West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), various non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and officials from the Railway Protection Force shared valuable insights.
