RPF's Aroma Singh Thakur Honored with Prestigious President's Medal for Distinguished Service
In a significant recognition of exemplary dedication, Aroma Singh Thakur, the Inspector General-cum-Principal Chief Security Commissioner of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) for South Central Railway, has been conferred with the esteemed President's Medal for Meritorious Service. Aroma Singh Thakur's Illustrious Career and Achievements
Hailing from the 1993 Civil Services batch, Thakur began her professional journey as an Assistant Security Commissioner with the Howrah-I division. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated exemplary leadership and innovation in enhancing railway security.
As the head of South Central Railway's RPF, Thakur implemented strategic measures to control various criminal activities, including:

- Passenger and railway property crime
- Contraband smuggling
