RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Saturday described the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as the largest but most misunderstood organisation in the country. Speaking at an event, he said that it is difficult to understand the Sangh from outside and the best way to comprehend its essence is to engage with it and experience it from within.
Understanding the RSS
Bhagwat emphasised that the RSS has a unique structure and functioning that may appear complex to outsiders. He noted that the organisation's grassroots involvement and cultural focus often lead to misconceptions. 'The best way to understand the RSS is to engage with it and experience it from within,' Bhagwat said.
Addressing Misconceptions
The RSS chief acknowledged that the organisation faces criticism and misunderstandings due to its size and influence. He urged people to look beyond stereotypes and interact with swayamsevaks to grasp the true nature of the Sangh's work in social service and nation-building.
Bhagwat's comments come amid ongoing debates about the RSS's role in Indian society and politics. He reiterated that the Sangh remains committed to its core principles of discipline, patriotism, and cultural revival.
