Sadhvi's Death: Injection, Instagram Post Under Police Scrutiny

Mystery Deepens Over Sadhvi's Death in Rajasthan as Police Probe Multiple Angles

The sudden and tragic death of Sadhvi Prem Baisa, a revered kathavachak from Jodhpur, has sent shockwaves through her community and sparked a complex police investigation. The circumstances surrounding her passing on Wednesday evening remain shrouded in mystery, with conflicting claims emerging from family statements and social media activity.

Conflicting Narratives: Medical Mishap or Something More?

According to official statements from Circle Officer Shakeel Ahmad of Boranda Police Station, the initial account provided by the Sadhvi's father, Mahant Veeram Nath, points to a potential medical error. Veeram Nath claims his daughter was suffering from fever for several days before a compounder administered an injection at their residence on January 28 around 4:45 PM. Within thirty minutes, her condition reportedly deteriorated rapidly, leading to her being rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her dead.

However, this straightforward medical narrative has been complicated by digital evidence that emerged hours after her passing. An Instagram post appeared on Sadhvi Prem Baisa's verified account that contained what many are interpreting as a final farewell message with spiritual undertones.

The Enigmatic Instagram Post and Agni Pariksha Reference

The Instagram message, which surfaced approximately four hours post-mortem, contained profound spiritual reflections that have raised eyebrows among investigators. The post stated: "I lived every moment for the propagation of Sanatan Dharma... I wrote a letter to Adi Guru Shankaracharya and many great saints and mahatmas of the country and requested an agni pariksha, but what did nature accept? I am saying goodbye to this world forever, but I have full faith in God and revered saints and mahatmas that I will get justice, if not during my lifetime, then after my death."

Police investigators are now examining whether this reference to "agni pariksha" or trial by fire might be connected to a previous controversy that engulfed the spiritual storyteller nearly six months earlier. The father has dismissed the post as the work of her social media handlers, calling it a "final goodbye" while maintaining his daughter's innocence in all matters.

Previous Controversy: The Viral Video Episode

Investigators have revealed that Sadhvi Prem Baisa was embroiled in a significant controversy in July 2025 when she filed an FIR at Boranada police station. The complaint alleged blackmail, character assassination, and extortion by former staff members led by Jogendra alias Jogaram, a sound system installer.

The case centered around a private CCTV video that allegedly showed the Sadhvi hugging her father. According to police records:

  • The accused allegedly demanded Rs 20 lakh, threatening to make the video public
  • When the Sadhvi refused payment, the video was reportedly edited to appear obscene
  • The manipulated footage was circulated on social media on July 13, 2025, going viral rapidly
  • Jogendra was arrested on July 20, 2025, and allegedly confessed to harboring a grudge

This incident reportedly led to the cancellation of several Bhagwat Katha programs as organizers were misled by the viral content. Many followers had argued that the video deliberately misrepresented a normal father-daughter relationship to tarnish the Sadhvi's reputation. The accused is currently out on bail while the case continues.

Ongoing Investigation and Community Outrage

Police authorities have confirmed that the body has been released to the family following a postmortem examination. Circle Officer Shakeel Ahmad emphasized that all angles are being thoroughly investigated, including the medical circumstances, the timing and content of the Instagram post, and potential connections to previous controversies.

The father, Veeram Nath, has made an emotional appeal for justice, stating: "My daughter is innocent, and she was given a wrong injection due to which her health deteriorated. I want justice in this case and want a police investigation to be done without any bias."

As the investigation unfolds, the spiritual community in Rajasthan remains in mourning while demanding answers about the untimely death of a respected religious figure whose life was marked by both devotion and controversy.
