A heartbreaking incident in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district has left a three-month-old infant orphaned after his parents died in a tragic sequence of events, reportedly stemming from a family dispute. The police are investigating the circumstances that led to the deaths of a young couple in the Dudera locality of Ward-1.
The Tragic Sequence of Events
According to authorities, the incident began when Chintaman Kushwaha (24), the younger son of Jalam Kushwaha, allegedly died by suicide at his residence. Police stated that he was found hanging. The tragedy deepened when his wife, Meera Kushwaha (22), discovered his body. Reportedly in a state of shock, she then ran to a well located approximately 30 metres from their house and jumped in, resulting in her death.
Local residents informed the police that Meera had returned to her in-laws' home from her parental house only around 10 days prior to the incident. The couple's infant son was present at the time but was unharmed physically.
Police Response and Investigation
Officials from the Lidhaura police station rushed to the spot after receiving information. The police team removed Chintaman's body from the noose. Meanwhile, villagers assisted in retrieving Meera's body from the well using a cot. Following the necessary legal procedures, both bodies were sent to the Jatara Community Health Center for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact causes of death.
Initial inquiries reveal that Chintaman earned his living by operating a street food stall. The police are actively working to uncover the precise reason behind the family dispute and the exact sequence of events that led to this double tragedy.
