Around 4 am, he stopped the vehicle, poured petrol over her body on the rear seat, and set it ablaze. The accomplices watched as the fire engulfed the vehicle and her remains.

Following the act, the husband attempted to build a false narrative by calling his in-laws during the return journey, claiming Seema's condition was critical. He later provided multiple contradictory versions—ranging from a heart attack to an accident and even a CNG explosion—but none withstood police scrutiny.
