A 45-year-old school principal and her 25-year-old son were allegedly shot dead by the woman's husband following a family dispute in the Ashok Vihar area of Gurgaon in the early hours of Sunday, police said.
Victims Identified
The deceased were identified as Asha and her son Prashant. Police said both sustained fatal gunshot injuries and were declared dead at the scene.
Police Response
According to police, information about the shooting was received at around 12:05 a.m. A team from Sector-5 police station reached the spot, secured the area, and began an investigation. A forensic team was also called to collect evidence from the crime scene.
Accused Detained
Police said the accused, identified as Anil, worked as a security officer in a private company. He was detained after the incident.

A case of murder has been registered at Sector-5 police station. Preliminary investigation suggests the shooting was linked to a family dispute, officers said.
