Police in Ranchi have made significant progress in a tragic case of mob violence. Authorities arrested seven individuals on Saturday for their alleged involvement in the lynching of Vicky Nayak, a 19-year-old resident of Chaya village. The incident occurred on January 16 under the jurisdiction of the Budmu police station in Ranchi district.

The events unfolded after Kameshwar Yadav visited the Nayak family home on Thursday night. Yadav accused young Vicky of stealing his motor pump. He then invited Vicky to attend a village meeting scheduled for the following day.

Law enforcement moved swiftly to apprehend those involved. Khalari Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramnaraan Choudhary provided details about the police operation.
"We arrested the main accused, Kameshwar Yadav, on Friday itself," Choudhary explained. "Our teams then worked continuously to locate the other six suspects. We managed to apprehend all remaining accused within twelve hours of the incident."
The police conducted searches across areas falling under the Burmu police station limits. All seven arrested individuals have now been forwarded to judicial custody. They remain in jail as the investigation continues.
