In Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu, police have secured two individuals, including a minor, in connection with the murder of a Class X boy that occurred on Friday. Preliminary investigations suggest that the murder was the result of a dispute over an alleged homosexual relationship between the two accused and the victim.

Details of the Accused and Incident

The accused have been identified as Aravind, 24, a resident of Ilanthaimangalam, and a 17-year-old boy. According to a senior police official, the deceased boy had disclosed the relationship to another person, which enraged the duo and led them to hatch a murder plot.

Sequence of Events

On the day of the incident, the accused consumed alcohol and engaged in a sexual relationship with the victim before killing him. A preliminary autopsy confirmed an injury in the anal area, corroborating the sexual relationship. The body of the student was discovered with a slit throat near the Keel Kaavanoor irrigation tank on Friday. The police were alerted after one of the accused narrated the incident.

Legal Proceedings

Based on a complaint lodged by the victim's father, the police registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
