According to the official police statement, the victim's mother, Shashi Singh, a resident of Vijay Nagar in Charbagh, filed a written complaint at the Alambagh police station on Tuesday. In her complaint, she stated that the incident occurred around 10 pm on December 29 near the Supply Depot, within the jurisdiction of the Alambagh police station.
Ashirwad was returning home from his workplace at Bangla Bazar when the high-speed vehicle hit him. The police confirmed that the pickup truck was being driven at high speed and in a negligent manner, which led to the fatal collision. Ashirwad sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.
