Major STF Operation in Patna Leads to Arrest of Notorious Criminal
The Special Task Force (STF) executed a significant raid in the Alamganj area of Patna, resulting in the arrest of the infamous criminal Badal Rai, also known as Badal Gop. Alongside him, three of his accomplices—Kunal Raj, Jitendra Kumar, and Akash Kumar—were also taken into custody. This operation marks a crucial step in curbing organized crime in the region.
Foiled Criminal Plot Linked to Land Mafia
According to police reports, the arrested individuals were allegedly in the midst of planning a major criminal activity connected to the land mafia in Didarganj and Patna City. The STF's timely intervention prevented what could have been a serious threat to public safety and property rights in these areas.
Seizure of Weapons and Evidence
During the raid, law enforcement officials confiscated a substantial cache of items, including two pistols, a country-made pistol, two magazines, nine live cartridges, five cellphones, and a motorcycle. These seizures provide critical evidence for ongoing investigations and highlight the dangerous nature of the suspects' operations.
Criminal History of Badal Rai
Badal Rai faces a long list of charges, with seven cases registered against him, including serious offenses such as murder and violations under the Arms Act. He is also suspected of involvement in two recent armed attacks in the Alamganj area, underscoring his role in local criminal networks.
The arrest of Badal Rai and his associates is expected to disrupt criminal activities in Patna, particularly those related to land disputes and violent crimes. Authorities continue to investigate the full extent of their operations and any potential links to broader criminal syndicates.
