Man Killed with Stone Pillar in Village Altercation, Accused Arrested
A 45-year-old man was killed after he was allegedly attacked with a stone pillar following a minor altercation in Bhaklana village of Hansi district. The deceased, identified as Rajesh alias Raju, a resident of Bhaklana village, was allegedly murdered by Aman alias Nika, also from the same village, according to police reports.
Police Action and Arrest
Police have since arrested Nika in connection with the brutal incident. Initially, a case was registered at Bass police station under charges of attempted murder, based on a complaint filed by the deceased's brother, Kamal. However, after Rajesh succumbed to his injuries, the charge was upgraded to murder.
Details of the Incident
In his complaint, Kamal, a farmer, stated that on February 10 at around 8:30 pm, he received a call from a villager named Kulbir. Kulbir informed him that his brother was injured and lying near the veterinary hospital on Mohalla Road. Upon reaching the spot, Kamal found Rajesh on the ground with severe head injuries and bleeding profusely.
Kulbir recounted that during a quarrel, Aman allegedly picked up a stone pillar and attacked Rajesh on the face and head. When Kulbir attempted to intervene, the accused reportedly threatened him and fled the scene after Rajesh collapsed.
Medical Treatment and Aftermath
The injured Rajesh was first taken to a hospital in Jind for initial medical attention. He was later admitted to a private hospital, where he tragically died during treatment. Police confirmed that the post-mortem examination was conducted at Civil Hospital in Jind, and the body was subsequently handed over to the grieving family.
Further investigation into the case is currently underway as authorities work to gather more evidence and understand the full circumstances surrounding this violent altercation.
