Supreme Court Expresses Grief Over Tragic Delhi Explosion
The Supreme Court of India expressed profound sorrow on Tuesday following the devastating explosion near Delhi's historic Red Fort that claimed at least 13 lives and left numerous others injured. The tragic incident occurred on the evening of November 10, 2025, sending shockwaves across the nation.

Chief Justice of India B R Gavai conveyed the judiciary's deep condolences through an official message. "We all are also deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives caused by the car blast that occurred in Delhi on the evening of 10th November 2025," the CJI stated.
Speaking on behalf of the entire judicial system and legal community, Justice Gavai extended heartfelt sympathies to the affected families. "On behalf of the Supreme Court of India and the entire judicial as well as legal fraternity in the country, I convey our deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones in this devastating tragedy," the message read.
The Chief Justice acknowledged the limitations of words in such difficult times, noting that "no words can truly ease the pain of such loss." However, he expressed hope that "the collective compassion and solidarity of the nation will offer some comfort in this hour of sorrow."

The Supreme Court's message emphasized the judiciary's unwavering support for the bereaved families and reaffirmed its dedication to upholding legal principles. "We stand in solidarity with the bereaved in their moment of grief," the statement declared.
The judiciary reinforced its "steadfast commitment to uphold the rule of law, ensure justice, and safeguard the dignity of every citizen." The message concluded with prayers for the departed souls to "rest in eternal peace" and for "courage and solace" to reach the mourning families.
Investigation Progresses as Security Concerns Mount
Meanwhile, investigative agencies have made significant progress in identifying potential suspects. Authorities have reportedly zeroed in on a 34-year-old resident from Pulwama who allegedly purchased the Hyundai i20 vehicle believed to be the source of the explosion.
The investigation has revealed concerning connections, including possible links to a doctor who went missing following the bust of a Jaish module. Security agencies are actively working to connect evidence from multiple locations, including Pulwama and Faridabad hospital.
In response to the security breach, Union Home Minister Amit Shah convened a high-level security review meeting on Tuesday, just hours after the explosion. The meeting focused on assessing the security situation and strengthening preventive measures to avoid similar incidents in the future.
The Red Fort blast has raised serious concerns about public safety in the national capital, prompting renewed discussions about security protocols around important historical monuments and crowded public spaces.
