Young Diamond Artisan Couple Found Dead in Surat Home, Police Investigate
A tragic incident unfolded in Surat on Sunday evening when a 24-year-old diamond artisan and his wife were found dead in their home in the Dabholi area. The couple, identified as Bhavesh Devipujak and his 23-year-old wife Tejal Devipujak, had married two years ago after a brief courtship and were discovered hanged in their room.
Police Respond to Neighbor's Alert
Neighbors alerted the police after noticing the couple had not responded to calls and later saw the bodies hanging through a window. The Singanpor police rushed to the spot, broke open the door which was locked from the inside, and brought down the bodies. After completing the required formalities, the bodies were sent for postmortem examinations.
Details of the Incident
According to police reports, Tejal Devipujak tied a nylon rope to a steel hook near the washing area and hanged herself, while Bhavesh Devipujak used a nylon rope to hang himself from a fan hook inside the room. No suicide note or clear reason has been found so far, prompting an ongoing investigation.

The family of the deceased has demanded a fair investigation into the deaths. Bhavesh had been living in Dabholi for five years and worked as a diamond artisan. His family includes three brothers, a sister, parents, and grandparents, many of whom live nearby.
