The complainant in the case, Jay Shah (21), provided a detailed statement to police about the incident. Shah, who is pursuing an MBA at Parul University, explained that he had visited Dumas with his friend Vicky Patel. While returning from their outing, their electric scooter was struck by Desai's vehicle.
"The accused's car rammed into our scooter while being driven in a rash and negligent manner," stated Shah in his complaint. "Instead of stopping to check on us, the driver continued forward and collided with two sedans that were parked beside the road."
Medical Condition of the Injured
Emergency services were immediately alerted following the collision. An ambulance arrived at the scene and transported both Shah and Patel to a private hospital for treatment.
