Shocking Family Feud Leads to Brutal Murder in Surat's Kosad Area
In a disturbing case that has stunned the Surat police, a 57-year-old woman was brutally murdered, with her body stuffed into a sack and dumped near her home in the Kosad area. The crime, which emerged from a web of alleged illicit relationships and family disputes, involved the victim's own son and the father of her daughter-in-law as key conspirators.
Victim Identified as Hamida Khatun
The deceased has been identified as Hamida Khatun, a widow who had been heading her family since her husband's death a few years ago. She lived with her two sons, Wasim and Parvez, and her daughter-in-law Shabana at Kosad Awas. Police have arrested her son Parvez, Shabana, and Shabana's father, Firoz Alam, in connection with the murder.
Crime Stemmed from Alleged Illicit Relationships
According to crime branch sleuths, the murder was the culmination of frequent quarrels over an alleged illicit relationship between Hamida's younger son, Parvez, and his elder brother Wasim's wife, Shabana. DCP (crime) Bhavesh Rojiya revealed that Hamida had come to know about this relationship and often reprimanded the pair for their extravagant spending, leading to ongoing tensions.
Shabana complained about Hamida's behaviour to her father, Firoz Alam, who traveled from Bihar to Surat. On Monday, Firoz called Parvez and proposed a plan to kill Hamida, citing her harassment of his daughter. Parvez, who was also angry about his mother's rebukes, agreed to the conspiracy.
Murder Execution and Body Disposal
On Tuesday morning, when Hamida's sons had left for work, Firoz and Hamida went inside a room. After some time, Firoz strangled her with a cloth. Shabana then informed Parvez, who returned home. The three conspirators stuffed the body into a plastic sack.
At around 12:30 PM, Firoz allegedly carried the sack on his shoulder and dumped it approximately 500 meters away from the house. He then left to board a train back to Bihar, but was later apprehended by the police.
Twist in the Tale: Another Alleged Relationship
In a shocking twist, police investigations later revealed that Hamida was also allegedly in a relationship with Firoz Alam, the very man who executed her murder. This complex dynamic added another layer to the family feud that ultimately led to the tragic outcome.
