Armed Mob Terrorizes Bhopal Cafe in Brazen Daylight Attack

In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves through Madhya Pradesh's capital, approximately 20-25 masked assailants armed with swords, baseball bats, and sticks stormed the Magic Spot Cafe in Bhopal's Misrod area, unleashing a terrifying wave of violence and destruction that left both staff and customers injured.

Chaos Captured on Camera

The violent episode unfolded on the evening of November 18, 2025, at the popular establishment located on Hoshangabad Road. According to eyewitness accounts and comprehensive CCTV footage that documented the entire horrifying event, the attackers entered the cafe with their faces deliberately covered and immediately began their destructive spree.

Within mere minutes, the masked men systematically smashed furniture, shattered glass panels, destroyed counters, and damaged expensive electronic equipment. The sheer speed and brutality of the attack sent customers, particularly couples enjoying their evening, scrambling for safety as panic gripped the establishment.

Violence Leaves Trail of Injuries

The rampage turned physically violent when the attackers targeted cafe staff members. During the assault, one employee sustained a serious sword injury while trying to protect the property. Additionally, a customer who found themselves caught in the chaos suffered a fractured finger after being struck with a stick by one of the assailants.

The cafe owner, Saksham Goswami, who authorities confirm has no known disputes or criminal background, has since filed a First Information Report naming five specific individuals in connection with the attack. Police investigators have ruled out robbery as a possible motive since no theft occurred during the incident.

Police Investigation Intensifies

Law enforcement agencies from three police stations - Misrod, Bagsewania, and Katara Hills - have joined forces to investigate what appears to be a targeted act of vandalism. A senior police officer involved in the case stated, "The attack appears to be a targeted act of vandalism rather than a theft. We are analyzing all available CCTV footage and gathering witness testimonies to uncover further details about the perpetrators and their motives."

Authorities are currently exploring several angles, including personal enmity and business rivalry as potential triggers for the violent assault. In a significant development, police have already taken two suspects into custody for intensive questioning as the investigation continues to unfold.

The incident has raised serious concerns about public safety and the brazen nature of organized violence in commercial establishments, prompting calls for enhanced security measures in the area.
