According to police reports, Rohan Chandra Bhat, a software engineer, is accused of stabbing his parents, Naveen Chandra Bhat (60), a retired Navy captain, and Dr. Shyamala Bhat (55), a dentist, with a knife at approximately 7:30 AM. The attack took place at their residence in the Adarsh Vista apartment under the HAL police limits. Following the assault, Rohan took his injured parents to Manipal Hospital for emergency treatment. Tragically, both victims succumbed to their injuries and were declared dead at 8:15 AM.

The HAL Police Station registered a murder case against Rohan based on a complaint filed by Dr. Madhavi Nair, a doctor at Manipal Hospital and a resident of the same apartment complex.
