Shamli Teen Arrested for Brutal Murder of Salon Worker Over Social Media Insults
In a shocking case from Shamli, a 19-year-old has been arrested for allegedly murdering Aman Raza, a 24-year-old beauty salon worker, whose body was discovered with 21 injury marks near Bareilly City railway station. Police officials confirmed the arrest on Saturday, revealing that the crime stemmed from a social media dispute.
Discovery of the Victim and Initial Investigation
Aman Raza, a resident of Malukpur in the Kila area, was found dead on Wednesday inside an abandoned railway quarter. His family had initially filed a complaint against three of his colleagues, suspecting their involvement. However, subsequent police investigations cleared these individuals, confirming they had no role in the crime.
Arrest and Police Findings
Circle Officer Ashutosh Shivam stated that the accused, Samad Musa, also a resident of Jakhira in the Kila area, was apprehended after CCTV footage and surveillance operations led authorities to him. During interrogation, Samad confessed to the murder, detailing how he and Raza had met through social media and developed a friendship.
"Samad used to create social media reels, and Raza would tease him by posting comments and emojis that he found insulting. This led Samad to decide on revenge," explained CO Ashutosh Shivam.
Details of the Crime
According to police officials, on April 7, Samad allegedly lured Raza near the railway tracks. There, he pushed him down and attacked him with bricks and stones. After inflicting multiple injuries, Samad then strangled Raza and dragged his body into the abandoned railway quarter, where it was later discovered.
The case highlights the dangers of online conflicts escalating into real-world violence, with authorities emphasizing the need for caution in social media interactions. The investigation is ongoing, with police working to gather further evidence and ensure justice for the victim's family.
