A 17-year-old boy sustained critical injuries after being shot by unidentified assailants following a dispute at an eatery in Southeast Delhi's Amar Colony area, as reported by news agency ANI. The incident came to light after a PCR call was received at Amar Colony police station at approximately 7:54 pm.
Sequence of Events
According to preliminary inquiries, the victim was seated at an eatery with a girl when a group of boys passed by. One of them allegedly touched the victim's chair, prompting him to object. The group then left the spot but returned around 4 to 5 minutes later. One of the assailants reportedly opened fire at the teenager before fleeing the scene.
Medical Response
The injured boy was rushed to Moolchand Hospital and later transferred to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he is currently undergoing treatment. His condition is described as critical but stable. No other injuries were reported in the incident.
Investigation Underway
Police teams, along with senior officers, reached the spot shortly after the incident. Crime teams inspected the area, while CCTV footage and technical surveillance are being examined to identify and trace the accused. Authorities are working diligently to apprehend the suspects.
