Thieves steal Rs 2 lakh, gold in Tarn Taran

Unidentified thieves made off with Rs 2 lakh in cash and 20 tolas of gold ornaments from the residence of Partap Singh in Rampur Bhootwind village, falling under the Verowal police station, on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.

Incident Details

At the time of the burglary, Partap Singh was at home with his wife, mother, and brother. After having dinner, the family went to sleep. When Partap Singh woke up in the morning, he noticed that the cupboard door in the room was open and belongings were scattered around.

Discovery of Theft

Upon checking the cupboard, the family discovered that the thieves had stolen Rs 2 lakh in cash and the gold ornaments. A formal complaint was lodged at the police station, and a case has been registered in connection with the incident.
