In a swift operation, Bengaluru police have arrested three individuals accused of robbing a man at knifepoint in the city. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when the victim was walking home alone.
Details of the Incident
The victim, a 28-year-old software professional, was returning from a late-night shift when he was accosted by the trio near his residence in the HSR Layout area. The suspects brandished a knife and threatened him, demanding his valuables. They snatched his mobile phone, wallet, and a gold chain before fleeing the scene.
The victim immediately filed a complaint at the local police station, leading to a thorough investigation. Police analyzed CCTV footage from the area and identified the suspects. Within 24 hours, all three were apprehended from different locations in the city.
Recovery of Stolen Items
During the arrests, police recovered the stolen mobile phone, wallet, and gold chain. The knife used in the crime was also seized. The suspects have been identified as residents of nearby slums, and they have a history of petty crimes. They are currently in police custody and will be produced before a magistrate.
