Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Rural Police have apprehended three individuals in connection with a robbery that occurred in Koth village. The incident took place on Sunday, when unidentified assailants allegedly conspired to break into a house with the intention of committing theft. They assaulted the complainant and a witness before fleeing with gold and silver ornaments valued at Rs 55,500, Rs 90,000 in cash, and three mobile phones worth Rs 65,000, bringing the total stolen amount to Rs 2.11 lakh. The victims were also threatened with death during the crime.

Investigation and Arrests

Following the incident, the police launched an investigation and, based on technical evidence and intelligence inputs, arrested Jayendra Makwana, a resident of Shihoripura; Hardik Makwana, a resident of Kesardi; and Jagmal Solanki of Daran village in Sanand. The arrests were made swiftly as the police utilized modern forensic techniques and local informants to trace the suspects.

The robbery occurred in a residential area of Koth village, where the assailants entered the house under the pretense of being visitors. They overpowered the residents, tied them up, and ransacked the premises. The stolen items included valuable jewelry, a significant amount of cash, and electronic gadgets. The victims, who were traumatized by the incident, have been cooperating with the police in the ongoing investigation.
