Three youths from Bengaluru drowned in the backwaters of the Hemavathi reservoir in Hassan district on Sunday, police reported. The deceased were identified as Charan (20), Milan (23), and Manikantha (20).
Incident Details
The group of ten youths had visited Dharmasthala and stopped at the dam on their return journey. According to police, some of them entered the water without realizing its depth and allegedly did not know how to swim. Rescuers later retrieved their bodies.
