The police investigation revealed that the SUV was traveling from Sultanganj to Deoghar in Jharkhand after the occupants had taken a religious bath at Ajgabinath Dham, a sacred site situated on the banks of the Ganga River in Bhagalpur district. The force of the collision was so powerful that the SUV was thrown approximately 50 feet off the road into the Haripur forest area. This dramatic displacement of the vehicle underscores the violent nature of the impact that claimed three lives instantly.
Authorities have sent the bodies of the deceased for postmortem examination at Banka Sadar Hospital, while the injured continue to receive medical treatment at the same facility. The injured individuals have been identified as residents of Garhwa district in neighboring Jharkhand state.
