Town police in Daltonganj on Saturday arrested three criminals who used a blade to snatch lockets, recovering two lockets. Sadar DSP Rajesh Yadav said that on May 26, a man used a shaving blade to snatch a gold locket from a girl child in a busy market. The girl was with her maternal uncle and suffered severe injuries, requiring a dozen stitches, police sources said.
Investigation and Arrests
Following an FIR, police began investigating by scanning CCTV footage of the area. The arrested individuals were identified as Sanu and Sameer, both brothers, and Surya Pratap Kumar. The brothers are from a village under Harihurganj police station, while Kumar is from Daltonganj. All are in their early 20s. They have been sent to judicial custody.
Recovery of Lockets
Police are trying to trace the owner of another locket recovered from the accused. The investigation is ongoing.
