A serious road accident on the busy Statue of Unity Road left three people injured on Thursday night. The incident, involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian, occurred in the Dabhoi area near Vadodara.

Details of the Statue of Unity Road Collision

The crash took place near Nandodi Bhagol when an unidentified man was attempting to cross the SoU Road. According to sources, a motorcycle carrying two riders was travelling at a high speed and failed to slow down before striking the pedestrian. The force of the impact was captured by a nearby CCTV camera.

The motorcycle, after hitting the man, skidded along the road for several metres. The pedestrian was knocked unconscious immediately due to the severity of the collision. The two individuals on the bike also suffered injuries in the crash.

Victims and Ongoing Investigation

The rider of the motorcycle has been identified as Ishwar Tadvi, while the pillion rider is Nilesh Tadvi. Both received treatment for their injuries. However, the identity of the pedestrian involved in the accident remains a mystery as of Saturday, with local authorities actively working to establish who he is.

Police are analyzing the CCTV footage to understand the exact sequence of events and determine if excessive speed was the primary cause. The investigation is ongoing.
