A devastating road accident near Pure Badhai village in Rae Bareli district on Tuesday resulted in the deaths of three individuals. The fatal incident occurred when a dumper truck, heavily loaded with gravel, collided head-on with a pickup vehicle, causing catastrophic damage and trapping the occupants inside the mangled wreckage.

Victims Identified as Cousins and Driver

The deceased have been officially identified by local authorities. Rohit Kumar, aged 25, was behind the wheel of the pickup van at the time of the collision. The other two victims were cousins: Vipin Saroj, 35, and Akhilesh Saroj, 44. According to police reports, the pickup vehicle was registered under the name of Vipin Kumar, adding a layer of personal tragedy to the already grim circumstances.

Details of the Fatal Journey and Collision

The trio was traveling from Jaunpur to Delhi in the pickup van, embarking on what should have been a routine journey. Simultaneously, the dumper truck was transporting a full load of gravel from Kabrai to Rae Bareli. The paths of these two vehicles intersected tragically near Pure Badhai village, leading to the violent head-on impact.

Upon receiving the distress call, personnel from the Lalganj police station swiftly arrived at the accident site. Their immediate priority was to extricate the three men who were trapped inside the severely damaged pickup. Despite their efforts, all three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Investigation and Legal Action

The bodies of the victims were subsequently transported for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death and gather forensic evidence. Lalganj Circle Officer Amit Singh provided crucial updates on the case, confirming that a formal complaint has been registered against the driver of the dumper truck.

"The truck driver fled the scene immediately following the collision and is currently evading arrest," stated CO Amit Singh. "Our teams are actively pursuing all leads and conducting a thorough investigation to locate and apprehend the accused individual. We are committed to ensuring justice for the victims and their grieving families."
