PRAYAGRAJ: Three members of a family, including two women, were found murdered at their house in Kukuarkatwa village under the limits of Meja police station in trans Yamuna pocket of Prayagraj district on Tuesday morning.
Police Investigation Underway
Upon being alerted, senior cops including Additional CP Ajay Pal Sharma, DCP Yamuna Nagar Vivek Chandra Yadav, along with forces and forensic experts, rushed to the spot and carried out investigations. The case came to light when villagers spotted the bodies and informed the police.
Family Dispute Suspected
Though the exact reason behind the killings was yet to be ascertained, a family dispute is cited as the likely motive. DCP told TOI that Shyam Lal and two of his sisters-in-law (younger brothers' wives) were found murdered in the village. He added that three police teams have been formed to crack the incident.
